Colophon

This site is built with Eleventy, hand-typed in Nunjucks and Markdown. Body text is set in Lato by Łukasz Dziedzic. Each section uses a small palette of two colours; the patterned squares scattered around the chrome are a nod to Émile Cheysson's 19th-century statistical maps, which I encountered, fittingly, in an Observable notebook.

Restraint is the design choice. There are no trackers, no analytics, no cookies, no ads, no sign-ups. The whole site is a few hundred lines of plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and the source is on GitHub (one day, when I get around to pushing it).

Output is static HTML, currently hosted on Fastmail's static site hosting. If something looks broken, it is most likely broken; please tell me.
