Reading
A handful of books currently in rotation. The order changes; the list grows.
- The Peregrine — J. A. Baker. A year of watching falcons; the chapter on hovering changed how I think about waiting.
- Stillness and Speed — Dennis Bergkamp. The footballer's book on seeing spaces before they exist.
- Stick and Rudder — Wolfgang Langewiesche. 1944, still the clearest thing I have read on the physics of small craft.
- A Field Guide to Getting Lost — Rebecca Solnit. Walking, blue distances, things found by accident.
